Mind and Mobility Support Services is a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider with a vision to provide clients a chance to define their own lifestyles through provision of inclusive support, promoting overall independence and improved quality of life. What is NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support through funding for a better life for eligible candidates with significant and permanent disabilities.

Who is eligible for NDIS?

Government funded support is provided to people with significant and permanent disabilities, whether it be intellectual, sensory, cognitive, or psychosocial. The NDIS provides support for half a million Australians. To be eligible to receive the individualised supports under NDIS a person must meet certain access requirements. These include that the person must:

  • Live in an area where the NDIS is available
  • Meet the residency requirements (be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Special Category Visa holder)
  • Meet the disability or early intervention requirements and
  • Be over the age of 7 and under 65 years of age when the access request is made.
